Well after much thought, I have decided to give blogging a chance. I've always enjoyed writing and interacting with people so I think this will be good for me. A bit about myself for the time being. My name is Melissa and I'm married and 33. I live in both Roseto, Pennsylvania in the USA and Mississauga, Ontario Canada. It's a strange trip between the two but necessary as I go through the immigration process to live in Ontario permanently. This crazy live started 9 years ago now when I met my husband, Scott, on a little ole website called www.pogo.com It's been a long 9 years but I don't regret a bit of it. We decided 4 years ago to get married and start the process of living in Canada. It's a drastic change from my little town in Pennsylvania and it has it's good things and it's bad things but given the chance, I wouldn't change the course I'm taking. I just regret some of the decisions I made along the way.
I am a big girl and while I don't regret it the way some negative people feel I should, I do want to change and start living a healthier life. This blog will most likely contain the highs and lows of those struggles. I toyed with the name of the blog and based on the struggle of being overweight all my life and people being rude and callous, I was originally going to name it "Sticks & Stones". That age old saying definitely isn't always true. Names can definitely hurt you. But I was reminded of something a dear friend use to tell me all the time when I got down on myself... "Melissa, you are beautifully chaotic, it doesn't matter on the outside". So Matt, this name is for you and thank you.
I have 3 cats which I spend most of my day communicating with in some form. They are our babies. We have Dexter Morgan (yes named after Dexter Morgan Showtime serial killer lol) which is my baby. Then we have Puma Jana which is his baby. Then we have Chibs Telford (named after Sons of Anarchy cause you don't mess with a man drinking a juice box) which is ours.
So that's a bit about me. I hope you will enjoy reading my chaotic ramblings for a time or two. :)
