Glade Expressions

Recently, I had the chance to try out two new awesome products from Glade. I was given the Expressions Oil Diffuser Starter Kit and Expressions Fragrance Mist Starter kit for free.

The first part of this wonderful package that I tried was the Glade Fragrance Mist. I chose the Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice scent. I have always been a fan of apple and spice scent candles, incense and pretty much anything. I was not disappointed with the scent of the fragrance mist. It was soft, subtle and refreshing. It really brightened up the room and left a clean fresh scent behind that stayed for quite awhile. I think I’ve used it in every room of our home at some point or another since receiving it. It is definitely my choice for use in our home as well as my preferred scent although I do look forward to trying the Pineapple & Mangosteen scent in the future. One thing that I highly approve of with the fragrance mist is that it wasn’t too harsh or strong. I am an asthmatic so sometimes these types of products bother me but not this one. The re-useable container is quite stylish and looks good even if you leave it out on the counter. It doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb like most canned aerosol’s do. This one definitely won’t be hidden under my bathroom sink like previous canned aerosol’s.

For the Oil Diffuser set I chose to try the Lavender and Juniper Berry. I have to admit, I was not a fan of the scent per say as I found it a bit strong and I’ve never been a bit fan of lavender. I was hoping the juniper berry would dull the scent of the lavender but it didn’t. Friends that I showed the product to loved the scent though and found it to be very refreshing. The diffuser holder is really pretty and elegant and fits any room in our home. One wonderful thing about this set is that you can easily move it from room to room should you choose, without worrying about spillage or leaking. I am looking forward to replacing the oil to the Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice. The product states that it lasts for 30 days of wonderful scent and it really does. I am closing in on 30 days since I started using it and it’s still going strong.

Overall I was very pleased with the product and would highly recommend that people try it as I think it will become their choice of home fragrance like it has for me.

My friend Nat enjoying her coupons. She went out the next day and picked up her kits. :)

RC Fishing Boats Review

It has been years since I've been fishing. Fishing was a staple in my childhood. My dad, uncle, sister and I would go fishing every weekend morning and often during the week during the summer. There was just nothing quite like waking up at 4 in the morning, stopping at Wawa for coffee and cupcakes and then heading off to the river to greet the fish. It was something we all loved (even though I'm deathly afraid of worms lol). My dad and uncle have since passed way too young, I was 17 when they both passed and I haven't been fishing since. It's something I've thought about quite often since then and have wanted to go but just hadn't found that motivation to actually go.

Well I think I found my motivation. I have recently been introduced to something wonderful in the form of RC Fishing Boats. They are fantastic. I can't tell you how many times we would be sitting there patiently with our poles only to see a fish jump way out in the middle of the river. Any fisherman (or women) knows how hard it is to cast in certain places and the RC Fishing Boat eliminates that problem. You simply set your lure on the boat, drive the boat to where you wish to fish and once you get a fish, it disconnects and you just bring that baby home. It seems like such a simple concept, I'm surprised no one thought of this before.

Aside from the fishing aspect which is awesome, I find that it also allows hours of amusement for children and adults alike. I know I would be amused just driving the boat around the river, fish or no fish. There's just something about being able to use a product for more than one goal that I love. Want to fish the leisurely way by casting and sitting with your pole? Go for it and why not give your RC Fishing Boat a lap around the lake while you wait for a fish to hook. Genius!

Please check out their website located at http://www.rcfishingworld.com. There you will find everything and anything you might want to find out about this great product before you purchase it. Christmas is right around the corner and this would make an awesome gift for the fisherman in your life.

Now if only the boat could take the worm and put it on the hook, I'd be in heaven. :P

Lets Give It A Try

Well after much thought, I have decided to give blogging a chance. I've always enjoyed writing and interacting with people so I think this will be good for me. A bit about myself for the time being. My name is Melissa and I'm married and 33. I live in both Roseto, Pennsylvania in the USA and Mississauga, Ontario Canada. It's a strange trip between the two but necessary as I go through the immigration process to live in Ontario permanently. This crazy live started 9 years ago now when I met my husband, Scott, on a little ole website called www.pogo.com It's been a long 9 years but I don't regret a bit of it. We decided 4 years ago to get married and start the process of living in Canada. It's a drastic change from my little town in Pennsylvania and it has it's good things and it's bad things but given the chance, I wouldn't change the course I'm taking. I just regret some of the decisions I made along the way.

I am a big girl and while I don't regret it the way some negative people feel I should, I do want to change and start living a healthier life. This blog will most likely contain the highs and lows of those struggles. I toyed with the name of the blog and based on the struggle of being overweight all my life and people being rude and callous, I was originally going to name it "Sticks & Stones". That age old saying definitely isn't always true. Names can definitely hurt you. But I was reminded of something a dear friend use to tell me all the time when I got down on myself... "Melissa, you are beautifully chaotic, it doesn't matter on the outside". So Matt, this name is for you and thank you.

I have 3 cats which I spend most of my day communicating with in some form. They are our babies. We have Dexter Morgan (yes named after Dexter Morgan Showtime serial killer lol) which is my baby. Then we have Puma Jana which is his baby. Then we have Chibs Telford (named after Sons of Anarchy cause you don't mess with a man drinking a juice box) which is ours.

So that's a bit about me. I hope you will enjoy reading my chaotic ramblings for a time or two. :)
